ReConnect Limited Series Essentials Giveaway
OFFICIAL RULES
Introduction
This page describes the official rules (“Official Rules”) of the Reconnect Limited Series Essentials giveaway (“the giveaway”) organized by the Connect Montgomery Alliance (“CMA”) of Montgomery County, Maryland (the “County”).
The objective of this contest is to encourage residents to reconnect with local businesses, restaurants, parks, and other public spaces in the County and share related images and videos on social media. The contest will also raise awareness of the group’s combined award-winning community-focused cable programming and highlight their recently re-designed Connect Montgomery or “CoMo” brand.
Terms & Conditions
Definitions
• “Participant” means the individual who participates in the Reconnect Limited Series Essentials giveaway (the “contest”) under the terms of the giveaway.
• “Prize” means the prize provided to the winner of the Reconnect Limited Series giveaway.
• “Grand Prize” means the prize provided through a separate drawing to be held among eligible winners.
Eligibility
• Participants in the giveaway must be 13 years of age or older to enter.
• The giveaway is open to Montgomery County, MD residents only.
• Shipping of prizes is limited to addresses located in Montgomery County, MD.
• The contest is not open to companies, educational institutions, organizations, etc. or to groups associated with such institution.
• Participants are only eligible to receive one ReConnect Limited Series Essentials giveaway prize during the contest period.
• Eligible winners will also be entered into the grand prize drawing and each eligible winning participant is only eligible to receive one entry into the grand prize drawing.
• The giveaway ends October 15th at 11:59 EST.
• This giveaway is in no way sponsored by or associated with Instagram. Rules #linkinbio.
• Employees (of the CMA PEG partners), their family, and contractors are not eligible to participate or receive prizes.
• Connect Montgomery reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant for any reason.
How to Participate
• Participants in the contest can enter by: posting a photo or video to an Instagram account and tag the official Connect Montgomery Instagram channel (@connectmontgomery); ‘Liking’’, following, and commenting on a @connectmontgomery post; or sharing a @connectmontgomery post to Instagram stories, during the contest period.
• The contest period will include monthly challenges (the “challenge”) that will be posted to the official Connect Montgomery Instagram channel (@connectmontgomery).
• Valid submissions for the contest require an Instagram account.
• All participants submitting an entry agree to all contest rules and regulations, and that the photos and videos submitted are their original work.
• Participants must complete all the required steps in the caption on Instagram for that specific challenge. Specific challenge rules can be found at reconnectmoco.org.
• Each Instagram post for the monthly challenges should be completed within the time frame for the specific challenge. The challenges end at 11:59 PM MDT 2021 on the end date listed for that challenge.
• The CMA and the County are not responsible for lost or misdirected entries or any connection issues when submitting entries.
• There is no fee to participate in the giveaway.
• No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
• Three winners will be selected for each challenge posted.
• Two of the winners will be based on popular vote (the two with highest number of likes).
• A third winner will be chosen by members of the CMA and its marketing partners based on the quality and originality of the image and its caption.
• The winners will be congratulated and announced on Connect Montgomery’s Instagram account and will also be featured on reconnectmoco.org.
• Instagram is not associated with this giveaway. Prizes are provided and fulfilled by Connect Montgomery and its approved partner agency**.
How to Win
• Winners will be notified via Instagram within a week of the giveaway closing. To claim a prize, eligible winners must respond within 3 days (72 hours) of being contacted via Instagram account or will forfeit the prize.
• After being contacted, a valid email address must be provided to claim a prize and winners will also need to supply a valid address within Montgomery County, Maryland in order to receive their prize.
• Emails provided for contest entries may be used by Connect Montgomery for marketing purposes, but never shared with third parties or used in any way prohibited by law.
• Grand prize winners will be selected at random by Connect Montgomery. Only eligible participants can win. Prizes will be shipped by October 30th, 2021.
Prizes
Subject to the rules and requirements outlined above, winners of the contest will receive a Limited Series Essentials giveaway and one entry into the grand prize drawing.
Grand Prize Drawing
Participants selected as winners in the ReConnect Limited Series Essentials giveaway or the contest will automatically be entered into a random drawing for a grand prize. The drawing will be held on or before October 20th at 11:59 EST. Grand prize winners will be notified by email. Winners must be located within Montgomery County, MD and have been selected as a winner of the ReConnect Limited Series Essentials contest to be eligible for the grand prize drawing.
Acceptance
Participation constitutes the Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. By participating in the Challenge, the Participant is representing and warranting that he/she/they has read and understood, and agrees to be bound by, these rules. By submitting your photos or videos, you agree to receive emails, promotions, and general messages from Connect Montgomery.
Including the guides and rules referred to herein, these Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between the Participant and the CMA and the County in relation to the contest. They govern the Participant’s participation and supersede any prior or other agreements between the Participant and the County and relating to the Challenge. By submitting your photos or videos, you are agreeing to our standard Terms of Service and the additional terms set forth below:
Additional Terms of Use for Photo and Video Submissions
By submitting your photo(s) or video, you (the participant) agrees that such photo(s) and/or videos and the accompanying information will become the property of the Connect Montgomery Alliance and you grant the CMA permission to publicly display, copy, reproduce and use the photographs and video in any form or media, whether now known or hereafter devised, for any and all editorial and related promotional purposes without making payment or other remuneration to you or any third party. You represent and warrant that (i) the photo and/or video is your original work, or is properly licensed by you, and does not violate the copyright or any other personal or property right of any third party, and (ii) you have obtained any and all releases and permissions necessary for us to publicly display, copy, reproduce and use the photo and/or video as described above. Your submission also allows the CMA to edit, crop or otherwise alter any submission as it chooses.
